Meet the Kiwi

Say hello to our iconic Kiwi. The ultimate New Zealand bird and an unofficial national mascot, this little Kiwi embodies everything Kiwis adore. Beloved across Aotearoa, Kiwi and its feathered friends have proudly put New Zealand on the global birding map and are widely considered one of the country’s most treasured species.

A shy nighttime wanderer, the Kiwi is found throughout the country, especially on predator-free sanctuaries and places like Stewart Island. With little talent for flying, Kiwi faces challenges from introduced predators such as stoats and possums — making it all the more important to help protect this iconic bird and its whānau.

Handcrafted in Arrowtown by our Cheeky Beaks ceramics team, each Kiwi is individually shaped from white porcelain and carefully glazed to bring out its unique character. Whether perched on a shelf, supervising your workspace, or adding charm to your garden, it brings a quiet sense of wonder wherever it rests.
